The Art Out is an annual plein air event in the town of Niskayuna, NY. My 12x24 oil painting of Erie Canal Lock 7, finished in one afternoon, was awarded the Grand Prize which included printing an image of that painting on the Town holiday greeting card sent out in December.

I had several landscapes on exhibit at the Niskayuna Town Library for July & August, 2013. It was a two person show in conjunction with Edie Cannizzo.

This was done en plein aire at Blatnick Park in Niskayuna, August 2013 at the Niskayuna Art Out.  It was on display fir in the Town Hall, then the town library and after that at the Senior Citizens Center.

The landscape by my shoulder is of the Killarney National Park in Ireland. I entered it in the Town Hall Show in Jun 2013. The photo was later printed in the Spotlight Newspaper.

I entered 3 oil paintings in the "Fence" Show at the Arts Center of the Capital District in Troy, NY in May 2013. It is no longer outdoors displayed on a fence, but is the continuation of the same show which I entered in 1975.

At the Colonie Art League meeting in April 2013, I gave a presentation about marketing and selling artwork on the internet.

My oil on canvas painting of Morning on the Mohawk was awarded an honerable mention prize at the Colonie Art League Holiday Show in 2012.

The picture is at sunrise at the old train station in Lions Park in Niskayuna.

The YMCA in Clifton Park, NY has art displayed in it's lobby and regularly cycles the pieces. This was the first art show they had in December 2012. I had done a bird in colored pencil and graphite, but added a bit of whimsy with the Santa Claus hat. It got a 1st prize.

The Niskayuna Art Out, a plein aire event, was held in Aug. 2012. The paintings and drawings were then on display in the old train station at Lions Park and later in the Niskayuna Town Hall.

I had a one-man exhibit for the month of June 2012 at the Senior Citizens Center in Niskayuna, NY. I put up over a dozen examples, some in oils, some watercolors and some pencil sketches. At the end of the month, I gave a presentation of my painting style.

My entry in the Colonie Art League Holiday Show was this covered bridge from the Mohawk Riverfront Park in Crescent. The show was at the Colonie Town Library.

The roses were my entry into the June 2011 Colonie Art League Town Hall Exhibit. That was the first art show I entered since the 1975 fence show. I had only returned to painting a few months prior to this afterfinding retirement rather boring.

This was the first art show I ever entered in June 1975. The Fence Show at Washington Park in Troy, NY with the Rennselaer County Council for the Arts, now called the Arts Center of the Capital District. They still hold the "fence" show but it is no longer outdoors.

I sold the painting by my elbow at the show and the other one still hangs in my home. It was from a photo taken on our honeymoon in Hyannis MA in 1969.
